RED

(more pics below)

Red is an 8 year old papillon needing a new home.

He's very active for his age, and loves going for walks as much as he loves cuddling up at home

He loves people and is fantastic with other dogs.

He came to me with a few behaviour issues which he has made huge leaps forward with, but his new home will have to continue his training.

He is defensive of himself when being groomed or lifted, and guards things that he steals. It's now manageable, and with a little bit more work he could put it all behind him.
His new owner would have to follow the same training plan, and have the right ethos about training.

He is a bit of a problem with cats. He could live with a very confident cat, but will chase if they run. He happily lives with my cat 99% of the time, but he gets excited and chases her at times. He never catches her (even when he could) but she's far too old to cope with the stress!

He is quite independent, but doesn't like being left for long. He will take chews if he's on his own, but he's been through several homes and feels a bit insecure at the moment.

His perfect owner would be someone who enjoys training (he's a very clever little dog) and would enjoy taking him for walks to take in the sights and smells.

Due to his problems he's not suitable to live with small children, being a cute fluffy thing young children would be tempted to pick him up and cuddle him, which he wouldn't react well to! He would be fine with visiting children because the situation could be more easily managed, he's independent and happy to take himself off for a sleep somewhere. He is also crate trained but doesn't like to be left shut in one if you leave the room.

Red is neutered and vaccinated, and if for any reason his new home didn't work out, he would always have a safe spot on the sofa here.

He really is a wonderful dog and if it wasn't for his relationship with my cat I'm sure he'd be staying.
